• Halloween Treats - We will be making 8 3x3 sized cards and a sweet treat bag with the Halloween Creeps stamp set! Wednesday September 21, 7pm
• Lollies Paper Wreath - CLICK HERE to view the project we will be making (so fun!!!) Monday September 24th, 3:00pm
• Stamp Club - If you are interested in stamping, learning some new techniques, creating a minimum of three projects a month and making friends, this could be the perfect event for you!!! Email me if you're in the Seattle area and interested!  Friday, September 9th at either 7pm
• Stamp-a-stack Holiday Card addition -   My annual Holiday stamp-a-stack is back! If you are looking to get a kick start on your holiday cards this event is for you. I will supply everything you need to create 16 different cards. You just show up! I hope you can make this fun event (and remember if you can't you are always welcome to order a kit!!!) Hope to see you there!  Wednesday October 5th 7:00-9:00pm
• Stamp Camp - this is my favorite event of the year! Come join in the fun with fellow stampers and demonstrators as we walk you though some amazing make-n-takes. Be sure to bring swaps to swap with other stampers! I can't wait....this will be a super fun day!!! Saturday October 15th 10-3pm

Happy Birthday to my AMAZING son Cody!

My son has just celebrated his 17th birthday! I can't believe how time just flies by and doesn't really care to ask us if we are ok going at that speed :-)

My son has four passions in his life, his BMX bike, baseball, snowboarding & video games. Over this last year he has been building his current bike the ground up. It is something that he takes pride in doing and we support him 100% in his efforts. It is fun to come home on a Friday afternoon and see him and his friends working away in our garage on their bikes. He even has his own area in the garage with enough space for all of them to work. It makes me happy to watch them put pieces together. When one friends bike breaks, they all pitch in and supply a part, if need be, so they can ride together. Their group motto is "Ride for Life" isn't it cute! My son would say "Mom (insert sigh) it isn't cute, I am not five years old anymore" LOL.

Anyhow, birthday shopping for him is always pretty easy. And this year was no different; he got new forks (the thing the handle bars attach too), a new seat, and a rim guard (think of a hub cap for a bike). He was so excited that as soon as he opened the packages, he called his friends, they all raced over here and put the pieces on his bike and then took off. I didn't see him until after dark!

If you are not familiar with the brayer technique then you need to try this project! On the whisper white, use a stampin sponge and sponge versa mark in random areas (Tip, do try and avoid the area you will be stamping though because it makes it difficult to get the ink to adhere) add dazzling diamonds and heat emboss.

Using your brayer and post it notes start creating the mountains. Start with your lightest color and build up from there.  

Using an old cloth, I rubbed some of the dazzling diamonds and ink off to look like snow falling off the board.

Stamp the birthday image and put the rest of the card together. If you would like to make this card I would be happy to host a workshop for and your friends! Contact me today.

Fancy Fold Cards!

My brother's girlfriend will be celebrating her 20th birthday in a few weeks and I wanted to give her something that would make her feel special. I can't believe that she is 16 years younger than me! Boy it makes me feel old!

I have been dying to try this new card technique and the Beyond the Garden Designer Series Paper was just the perfect match!

Welcome New Baby.

I found this beatuful card on Jackie Topa's website. She is such an inspiration to me right now! If my instructions below are hard to follow just check out her blog, she did a video explaining the steps!

My little brother is having his first child any day now so I can't wait to send this card to them. I already have a little gift pile started just waiting for the phone call that lets me know he has arrived!

1.Cut the Bashful Blue card stock to 5½ x 8½ .
2.Using your paper trimmer cut in the center (2¾ ) from 1” to 5¼“.
3.Turn the paper to the long side and score 1” and 2” from the edge to the cut line.
4.Fold the step and then fold the card in half and use your bone folder to make your folds sharp.
5.To create the drawers cut Very Vanilla at ¾ x 2” sponge the edges with Bashful Blue ink. Using your paper piercer poke holes for the mini brads.
6.Adhere the drawers to the large side of the dresser.
7.Cut one piece of chocolate chip cardstock to 2¾ x 2¾.
8.Cut one piece of very vanilla 2½ x 2½, adhere to the chocolate chip card stock.
9.Stamp the “For Baby” in basic black ink.
10.Color the duck using the Stampin write markers.
11.Stamp the baby outfit onto whisper white and color using Stampin Write markers.
12.Using tombow glue the “for baby” to the step.
13.Cut shape out with Paper Snips.
14.Attach baby outfit to the top of the “for baby” side of the card.
15.Create a bow push the brad through the bow, adhere to dresser.
16.Punch the bottom of the large dresser with the curly label punch to create the “legs” of the dresser.
